Notice of Public Hearing of Colfax County Commissioners – Nov 25, 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that there will be a Public Hearing of the Colfax County Commissioners will be held during their regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, beginning @ 10:00 a.m. in the Colfax County Courthouse Commissioners Room, located at 411 East 11th Street in Schuyler, Nebraska for the purpose of hearing testimony of support, opposition, criticism, suggestions, or observations for:

A Public Hearing for:

  1. A Public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit application for a Verizon Wireless Tower.
    • Road V and Road 12 about 1/8-mile East. Parcel owned by Bart Asset Protection Trust.
  2. A Public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit for a New and Used Furniture and Goods Store.
    • 595 Road 3 owned by Bill Petersen. (old Richland School).
  3. A Public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit for an RV Park.
    • 684 Road 16 owned by Kevin Lee.
  4. A Public Hearing for a Resolution to Amend Article 8 Section 8.22.03 Commercial Composting Areas or Facilities.

An agenda for said meeting is kept continuously current and available by request from the County Clerk. Questions or comments concerning the public meeting and hearings may be directed to the Colfax County Clerk’s Office at (402)352-8504. All interested parties may offer oral comments at the public hearing and/ or may file written comments with the Colfax County Commissioners concerning the petition and such comments shall be considered by the Commissioners, provided such written comments are received by the County Clerk prior to the public hearing date.

Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than 24 hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting. We reserve the right to have to have a closed executive session
