Colfax County Jail

The Colfax County Sheriff’s Office has a 6-person holding cell on site; however, inmates are not housed in the holding cell outside of business hours. Colfax County contracts with multiple nearby detention centers including Butler County Detention Center, Platte County Detention Center, and the Antelope County Detention Center.  Any information regarding locating inmates, providing funds or money to inmates, visitation hours, or any additional questions specific to the detention facility must be answered by the local detention center the inmate is housed in.  Please contact the Colfax County Sheriff’s Office during business hours with questions regarding inmates. If it is outside of business hours and you know where the inmate in being housed, you can contact that detention center directly with questions.
