Deputy Brown Bear

Deputy Brown Bear was established by Sheriff Messerlie in 2021 as an outreach program with a friendly face for our local area schools and youth programs.  Deputy Brown Bear visits schools, daycares, and local youth programs and events whenever requested and has proven to be a hit with our younger community members.  If you are interested in having Deputy Brown Bear attend a Colfax County youth function or visit your classroom, please contact the Colfax County Sheriff’s Office to schedule a visit from him.
